Bari

Angolo ripiegato: Bari is the capital city of the Province of Bari and of the Puglia region, on the Adriatic Sea, in Italy. It is an important economic centre of mainland Southern Italy.

Casella di testo: St. Nicholas, Santa Claus & Father Christmas…in Bari St. Nicholas was a Bishop who lived in the fourth century AD in Myra (now in Turkey).He was a very rich man but also a very kind man and had a reputation for helping the poor and giving secret gifts to people who needed it.In 1087, his bones were stolen from Turkey by some Italian merchant sailors.
The bones are kept in the Church named him in the Italian port of Bari, so that he can bless the waters and the sailors.
